• Excellent food but costly

  Visited Dobbies a few times and the store is great and cheap but the cafe is very expensive for the cost of a pudding and a drink i could easily go somwhere else and get a full pub meal. It is good for catering for special diets such as coeliacs but just not cheap enough unfornately always very busy as well packed with pensioners. There is a wide selection of food as well and though it is expensive it is very good quality so your getting good value for what you pay for but you will probably come away thinking you could have paid less and got more elsewhere. Excellent views from there cafe which is upstairs of the gardens outside and there is a balcony if you want to be brave.

  This is a very nice place to shop in and stay for a bite to eat, the best time of year to go is in the chistmas holidays as the kids love it. They put out all the decorations and the place is great, so much to choose from and so many colors. Can a bit on the dear side but well worth a visit. There's a coffee shop upstairs and it is nicely laid out, you can have a meal or just a drink whatever takes your fancy.When you have finished with that you can look around some more. As the year goes by you see the differnet plants of the season on sale.And there is always a place to park the car as it is huge.

• Not Just For The Gardeners

  Dobbies Garden World is a fantastic place to visit. It could take you a whole day to get round the fantastic varieties of plants, flowers, craft items, farmers fayre, fancy gifts. At Christmas it is known as the best place for all those fancy baubles for the tree and you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to the seasonal decorations. The best place for me though is their wonderful restaurant. So much choice in their varied menu and for those that just want a snack, they have that too. Staff are friendly and it is very accessible. I give this place 100 marks for accessibility in the aisles of all their shopping areas, inside and out. The accessible toilet is truely accessible for all.You can even get a miniature bottle of wine with your meal besides the usual tea, coffee, etc. I make it a point of going here at least twice a year. Well worth a trip.
